"Disability is not a hindrance to success."
SPED Kindergarten Class
Antipolo City SPED Center established the Kindergarten classes not only for Hearing Impaired students but for children with other disabilities also. These were children with Learning Disabilities, children with autism, children with ADHD/ADD and with Visual impairment. Almost 80% of SPED preschoolers were decoders of simple words both in English and Filipino. In Math, almost 75% were already aware on adding one digit numerals.
They are encouraged to join in different school activities like Deaf Awareness program, Christmas Party, Field Demonstration and Palaro which served as tools to help them develop their socialization skills at the same time improved their cognitive skills.SY 2013, ten Kindergarten classes were organized handled by SPED Teachers. The school adopts the Kindergarten Adjusted Curriculum for SPED which gave light to parents who are almost losing hope in normalizing their SPED Kid.
Teachers play crucial role in developing SPED Children thru research on different ideas and experiences in teaching preschool. Instructional materials are varied depending on the differentiated needs of CSN.
